Position Title – Controller, Business Unit

Location: (Edmond, OK)

Description

Directs the general and cost accounting, tax reporting, financial analysis and inventory control functions. The role will serve as advisor and partner to the CFO and senior management. The ideal person should have the ability to “hit the ground running” and make an immediate impact within the accounting department.

Qualifications & Requirements

·       10+ years overall experience; 5+ years of controller experience, or 5+ years of audit experience

·       Knowledge of relevant GAAP & Tax rules to help guide the accounting function (required)

·       Strong computer skills to include FRx & Excel experience (highly preferred)

·       Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or other applicable curriculum (required)

·       Master degree in accounting (highly preferred)

·       Ability to run models on projects, jobs and companies (required).

·       Experience in budgeting and forecasting (required)

·       Requires someone with integrity, credibility and character with demonstrated moral and ethical behavior

·       Requires someone who is a team player with self confidence, professional presence, and consultative skills to positively influence the business

·       Hands-on, detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical, planning and evaluation skills (required)

·       Requires someone with high degree of maturity and business judgment.

·       Work-in-progress accounting experience (preferred, but not required)

·       Job costing experience (required)

·       Requires someone with strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

·       CPA license (required, but doesn’t have to be current)

Position Description

·       The Controller’s functional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·       Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the effective management review of the operating results (and variances)

·       Continue the development and institutionalization of strong financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems

·       Optimize profitability and cash flow through identifying and capturing cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements in the product service line

·       Actively participate in the integration of all merger and acquisition activities

·       Coordinates/collaborates the strategic and financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process in cooperation with CFO and team members

·       Maintain and manage balance sheet reconciliations with accounting staff.

·       Help ensure proper monthly closes

·       Participate in external audits, tax filings, pre-qualifications, and recertifications

·       Ensure proper review and adjustment of all balance sheet accounts.

·       Track inventory production and sales, and establish and maintain all standard cost calculations for inventory products

·       Perform intercompany reconciliations and true-ups

·       All other duties as assigned
